Little Red Car Chocolate Birthday Cake

This is turning out to be quite the birthday weekend. Here is a cake we made that is simple and full of decadence! Chocolate cake lightly iced in chocolate ganache. We really like the drop effect of the chocolate ganache on the sides. Brian is turning two and really like toy cars, so we made a little red car from fondant as a cake topper.

Happy Birthday Brian!

  4. Did you use the Cricut machine to cut your letters or are they hand made? The cake is lovely! Just perfecty for a 2yr old. Great job. Thanks for sharing

  5. Hi there, no I don't have a Cricut machine, so the letters use made with tiny cookie cutters. You can often find sets of the alphabets, they are about 1-2 inches high.

  6. I don't think the Cricut Cake cuts anything so thickly. You have to use really thin sheets in a cutting machine.
